Do you have what it takes?
 
Responsibilities:
·      Complete SAT and/or ACT training program prior to teaching SAT or ACT test preparation
·      Provide engaging tutoring and test preparation services to students in grades 7-12
·      Maintain and update accurate online schedule on your calendar
·      Provide timely, clear and specific notes regarding tutoring sessions to students, parents, and administration staff using Chyten's online communication and scheduling platform
·      Teach Chyten test taking strategies for SAT, ACT, SSAT, and/or SSAT (Chyten training program completion required to teach test preparation)
·      Attend trainings and meetings as needed
·      Opportunities to teach small group learning courses
 
Qualifications:
·      Superior communication and customer service skills.
·      Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
·      One year or more of tutoring or teaching experience.
·      Two years or more of tutoring and teaching experience with small group classes.
·      Expertise in the subject area that you would like to tutor or teach.
·      Basic computer literacy.
·      Reliable transportation to travel to one or more of our centers in Newton, Wellesley and Lexington.

Our academic faculty is an important part of our service offering and we take great care to ensure they are prepared, informed, and ready to work with our students around the country. Tutors will work among a helpful, caring staff and in an environment where great teachers fulfill their passionate desire to help students reach and exceed their expectations. Chyten has 32 years of industry experience and proprietary curriculum that sets the bar high for students in grades 7-12. Additionally, if you are looking for career growth we offer both a tutor career track as well as opportunities to join our staff including roles in marketing, sales, operations, and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tutoring and test preparation services to students in grades 7-12.

  • Reliable transportation to tutor at one of our centers or partner school locations.

Our benefits include:

  • Hourly rates: $30 to $45
  • Training materials provided in Chyten's proven methods to prepare students for the SAT and ACT.
  • No requirement to travel between tutoring sessions! Tutoring sessions are held at our centers located in Wellesley, Newton, and Lexington or at our partner school locations in Westwood and Natick.
