Meet Kristi Davin Executive Director
Kristi was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut until the age of twelve, when she relocated to Massachusetts. She graduated from Wayland High School and went on to study at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Kristi majored in English and minored in education. She then continued her education at Lesley University where she earned her master’s in education.
Throughout her education Kristi has had several educators that deeply impacted her life and her love of creative writing. When recalling her high school English teacher Kristi said, “The most influential teacher in high school was Sally Alexander, Honors English… She taught me a ton, things that still influence the way I write, speak and work to this day”.
As Executive Director Kristi’s role is to ensure that all day to day operations at all locations are running smoothly. Her goals are to provide students and families with the best possible experiences as they reach their educational goals. Additionally, she hopes to provide her colleagues with the highest level of job satisfaction. When asked what working at Chyten means to her Kristi remarked, “Working at Chyten means being given the opportunity to change peoples’ lives for the better. Sounds hokey, but it’s true. With both internal and external clients; I have the chance to make a real difference in their lives every day”.
Kristi currently resides in South Grafton, Massachusetts with her two, teenage sons, Jack and Dan. She is engaged to Bruce and says that she is very lucky to have a huge extended family full of aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, “steps” and “In-laws”. She also has two rescue kitties, Pippin and Mugsy. In her spare time Kristi can be found in her garden, traveling with family or spending time at the beach.
