Emily has wide-ranging academic interests and teaching talents, earning her the designation of Chyten Distinguished Tutor. She earned her B.A. in Anthropology and M. Ed from Northwestern University. She has more than fifteen years of experience as an educator, including teaching Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, and Math at the middle school level, and Latin, Spanish, and History at the high school level. She has been teaching for Chyten since 2002. In addition, Emily has taught Archaeology at the undergraduate level and co-directed the Boston University archaeological field school in Spain. In her free time, Emily enjoys dance, Community Theater, hiking, and travel. For the student who assumes that test prep or academic tutoring will be dull and boring, Emily is the perfect remedy. She is fun, funny, creative and a bit nutty, yet highly engaging and effective.
