Leslie Morgan

Leslie has more than 20+ years of experience teaching English at the Honors, College Prep and AP levels at both private and public schools. A life-long learner, Leslie is passionate about engaging students and encouraging their growth as critical thinkers and collaborative learners. Among her accomplishments are the depth and breadth of the courses she has taught. These include a variety of historic, genre-based and thematic literary courses, including survey courses in World, American and British literature. In addition to teaching specialized courses in study skills, poetry, history, and drama, Leslie has extensive experience teaching grammar and writing in all its forms: narrative, creative, persuasive, and expository. Leslie has been actively involved in the extra-curricular lives of her students as well, including advising for the student yearbook, newspaper, literary magazine, and drama club. She also extended her teaching responsibilities to the athletic fields,where she coached field hockey, lacrosse, and basketball at the varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. Leslie holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English from Brown University, a Master’s degree in Cultural History from Dartmouth College, and a Post-Master’s (CAGS) degree in English Education from New York University. Additionally, Leslie holds both a BA and a BS degree from Davis and Elkins College in Literary Studies and Physical Education, respectively.
